Twenty members plus some partners travelled on the charter, for which a healthy donation of £200 was made to the Railway, which was gratefully received.

Track enthusiasts were able to enjoy the run round loops at Bourne Again Junction and Inverernie, and "buffer kissing" EOL at the same. We also journeyed into the tunnel at Somersham as far as the stabled Toad BV. Many members stayed on after the PLEG event to enjoy a ride on the steam service provided by No 31 "Sir Robert McAlpine and Sons" HC1026 0-6-0ST (1913).

PLEG wishes to thank Bob, all the train crew but especially both Ians, and the rest of the volunteers for their assistance in making this fantastic event happen.

PLEG looks forward to visiting the railway next year for a repeat of the same, and perhaps we can include use of the ex-MOD Baguley railcar!
