After some members went spotting at the depot, the private charter train left at 08:30 sharp and travelled the full length of line to Carrog. Despite original plans, both locos were attached to the front of the train in both directions and were kept under power by separate crews. After a shunt at Carrog, an early departure was agreed and an additional photo stop at Glyndyfrdwy was arranged in glorious sunshine.
