Heritage Shunters Trust

Saturday 1st September and Sunday 2nd September 2018

A diesel gala will take place this weekend.

Following a lot of hard work on "Bigga" in recent weeks, it is still not 100% certain the loco will be ready for our forthcoming gala. We have a valve that is leaking, but if we can obtain a seal in the few remaining days before the gala and have time to refit it then the loco will run as booked. If not, then D2205 will run Top and Tail with 07001 alone.

Please note Bigga will be running in a shiny new coat of mid-Brunswick Green, and displaying her "Bigga" nameplates.

Brakevan rides, single rides, or all day riding tickets are available on each day for both Galas. An eclectic mix of shunters will be used for all of our shuttles on all of this year's above running days.

At the gazebo will be a revamped sales stand where tickets to ride can be purchased and you will be given a complimentary stock sheet.

If you want a relaxed, enjoyable day out, with convivial company, informative guides and members who are passionate about their collection and who are more than willing to share their passion, please visit us on at least one of the 2018 galas. Not only that but another big bonus is that every penny raised from these events goes towards the restoration and conservation of a totally unique collection of locomotives.

The event will start at approximately 10:00 and finish at 16:00.

Day Rovers will cost £16.00 and single ride tickets will cost £6.00. Day Rovers will cost £13.00 if bought online at the HST website. Book Online Rovers
